Waddingtons Totopoly The Great Race Game ~ 1960’s

£32.50

Waddingtons Totopoly “The Great Race Game”. This popular horse racing game was originally introduced in 1949, and was revamped several times over the years. This is an earlier version that was produced with metal horses (later ones are plastic), most likely dating it to the mid-1960’s (instructions leaflet dated January 1969). The players lease racehorses, and then train them for the race. As you would imagine, the winner of the game is the player who wins the race!! ~ Although it is worth bearing in mind that the race winner may not necessarily be the player with the most money (another player may have had a heavy bet on the race winner, but not have a horse of his own in the first three). Contents are in excellent condition for their age, appearing to have seen only minimal use. Complete with all racehorses, bank notes, playing cards, dice, totalisator booklet & receipt tickets (these are still in sheet form & have not been cut). Box & inner packaging also in very good order, with no holes / torn corners or colour fading.
