Subbuteo Set ‘Y’ Pitch Surround Apparatus ~ 1960’s

Subbuteo Set ‘Y’ Pitch Surround Apparatus. This was the first pitch surround set that was available from the mid 1950’s up until the late ’60’s. As you can see, very basic!!, involving just 4 x small metal clips for the corners, and 2 x larger ones for the half way line, with a length of twine which ran through the eyes at the top. This set is in excellent / unused condition having been in dry storage since purchased. Box also very sound for it’s age, with no rips or holes, but does have some slight age-related staining in places.
