Hornby No.R.087 ~ The Flying Scotsman 1972-75 Limited Presentation Edition Box Set. Released in 1995, this limited edition set is number 2,771 of 5,000 produced. Included is the Flying Scotsman Class A3 4-6-2 Locomotive, together with matching tender & additional ‘Flying Scotsman Enterprises’ blue / grey tender. Loco is driven by the green tender. Comes supplied with spare coupling & crew (still sealed in the original plastic bags), together with certificate & relevant period paperwork. All in excellent / undamaged condition, appearing to have seen only minimal use (traction rubbers on the tenders show no signs of any wear). Housed in the correct presentation box with inner polystyrene tray, both of which are in very good order, with no holes / tears or biro scribble. Also included is the original outer protective cardboard box as supplied from the manufacturer for delivery (slightly ‘scuffed’ & torn to one end flap).
