Hornby R.380 ‘OO’ Gauge SR Schools Class V 4-4-0 Locomotive ~ Stowe No.928 ~
1981-82. Loco & Tender in very good used condition, shows only minimal signs of wear; but does have some minor damage (one of the rear cab bars has broken away from the roof, although it is still fully intact (so i guess could be glued if required), and on the tender, the very small plastic ‘winder’ has a small ‘L’ shaped piece broken off from one side of the top bar (although this is still present lying in the polystyrene tray (so again could be glued back on if you are skilful & patient enough!!). Other than the above mentioned, Loco and Tender are otherwise very sound, with clean SR malachite green bodywork & decals (Tender
driven). Running
gear & couplings all fine / buffers all intact.
Runs well at speed in both directions, with no nasty noises!! (traction
rubbers on tender show no wear). Box ok, but in only FAIR order, quite scruffy & scuffed around the edges, with one end flap torn off & the other has had a sellotape repair / inner polystyrene
tray good. Inner sleeve states as being ‘with smoke’ & ‘with crew / vacuum pipes’, but crew & pipes are definitely not present, so please assume that the ‘smoke’ facility is not functional ~ To clear.
