Parker Escape from Colditz Board Game ~ 1974. Excellent period escape strategy game based on the BBC TV Series aired between 1972-74. This is the earlier version of the game, most likely released during, or shortly after the series was screened. The object of the game is for up to 5 game players to achieve the first escape from Colditz Castle prisoner of war camp. One of the players is elected to be the German Security Officer, who, along with his guards, will try to prevent the escape!! Game contents are in generally excellent condition for their age, with no signs of damage or wear, and appears to have seen only very light use (playing cards would seem to have the original elastic bands around them). Playing board / game cards / wooden pawns / dice / instructions & game booklets all in excellent order (board still wrapped in the original protective paper sheet). Outer box generally good, but does have some age-related edge fraying & scuffing, with 1 x tidy sellotape repaired torn corner.
