Subbuteo Table Rugby ~ The Replica Of Rugby League and Union Football ~ late 1950’s / early 60’s. This is the first Rugby boxed set that Subbuteo produced. It could be purchased with, or without a pitch; this is the ‘Standard’ edition, with ‘marked out pitch’. Overall, this set is in excellent condition considering it’s age, having been in dry storage for many years.

All of the playing pieces are still stapled in the original plastic bags as from new. Complete with 15 x man red & blue teams, 2 x balls, 2 x steel goals (with white celluloid tube sleeves) & marked out pitch. Also includes the original instructions leaflet & all period paperwork. All parts very clean & undamaged.

Box is generally sound, with no holes or biro scribble, but has faded quite badly with age (should be mid-green in colour). There is a glue repair to one torn corner, with some old sellotape residue to the sides. There is also some stain marks in places to the front panel.
